Training and Technical Resources

The Office of Community Services supports a wide variety of efforts that can help local agencies increase their capacity to implement ROMA. The following resources might be of interest to you:

National Peer-to-Peer ROMA Training and Certification Program
Individuals interested in becoming a Certified ROMA Trainer are encouraged to apply for the National Peer-to-Peer (NPtP) ROMA Training and Certification Program.  The Community Action Association of Pennsylvania (CAAP) operates this project, with support from the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Community Services.

The project is designed to support efforts to adopt, build and support ROMA capacity in the Community Action Network.  The immediate product of the program will be trained Community Action personnel who are competent and committed to providing ROMA training and assistance to their peers in the CSBG/CAA network.  The long term outcome is increased capacity of the network to achieve and document results through effective and efficient anti-poverty strategies, to continually improve agency quality and to be able to adapt to changing community needs and resources.
