About the Electronic Networking Committee:

The Electronic Networking Committee was created by the Monitoring and Assessment Taskforce and asked to experiment with organizing electronic communities. The 1,000 community action agencies around the nation employee 100,000 interested and interesting people who have 5,000 existing email addresses. There are tremendous opportunities for people with shared interests to use the Internet to span their geographic distance and organize themselves into electronic communities.

Four emails discussion group have already been created and more are on the way:

• The Electronic Networking Group (ENG) listserv: General discussion group on community action issues.
• Managing Multiple Databases listerv: Issues related to managing multiple databases
• Electronic Community Services Network (ECSN) listserv: Active brainstorming within the Community Services Network.
• Webstuff listserv: Exchange of strategically interesting websites
