Brief Description of the Project The State CSBG Office in collaboration with the CAP Association convened a design team of CAP Directors to lay out the framework for a formalized ROMA training. The State CSBG Office contracted with The Rensselaerville Institute in New York to provide a two-day core training session. Following the core training, each agency prepared a performance target outline for each program to be piloted during the six-month demonstration project. The outlines were reviewed by the State CSBG Coordinator and consultants from TRI, and sent back to the agency. Individual agency training and technical site visits were conducted by a TRI consultant paired with state staff. All visits were completed during the initial month of the demonstration project and agencies were then instructed on the use of the reporting tool for the demonstration project. At the end of the six-months, the State will convene a results and lessons learned session with all participating agencies. During the demonstration project, the State will work with TRI to provide feedback to the agencies on the reports submitted and will seek input from the agency directors and planners to begin culling best practices resulting from the pilot programs.
